About
My name is Guy Burton and this is my personal website and blog. I will be posting on a mixture of topics, probably from, but not limited by the following list:
software development, electronics, music, drums, guitar, music production, mma, rugby, running, books, and philosophy. (ok maybe not the last one)
I graduated from Newcastle University with a first class MEng in Computer and Electronic Engineering in 2009, and I am now working as a software engineer for a company called Irisys in the United Kingdom. My special interests are in programming language design, functional languages, concurrency, and generally anything which streamlines the process of software development. I am also keen on the idea of using FPGA’s and programmable logic for parallel computation and hope to experiment more with them in the future.
My third year dissertation concerning audio sampling synthesis can be found here.
